Emergency-Loans.co.ke (“we”, “our”, “site”) is an information service for mobile loans in Kenya.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. It applies to our website, forms, and communications.

Data we collect

  1. Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, device/browser info, approximate location (via IP).
  2. Contact data (optional): name, email, phone — only if you send us a message or sign up for updates.
  3. Content you submit: questions, reviews, or feedback.

We do not collect National ID images or bank/M-Pesa statements. If a lender asks you for documents, you submit them directly to that lender — not to us.

How we use data

  1. To operate and secure the site (analytics, debugging, anti-fraud).
  2. To answer your messages and provide customer support.
  3. To improve content and features.
  4. Where permitted, to send service updates you requested.

Legal bases (Kenya & applicable laws)

Legitimate interests (site security and performance), consent (when you opt in), and contract (responding to your request).

Sharing

We don’t sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:

  1. Service providers (hosting, analytics, email) under data-processing agreements.
  2. Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  3. Advertisers/affiliates may place their own cookies if you click an outbound link; their policies apply on their sites.

Data retention

  1. Contact emails: up to 24 months after our last interaction.
  2. Analytics: as per provider defaults (typically 14–26 months). We anonymise or delete data when no longer needed.

  2. Opt out of non-essential cookies via the banner.
  3. Unsubscribe from emails via the link in any message.

International transfers

Some providers store data outside Kenya. We use providers with appropriate security and contractual safeguards.

Children

Our site is for adults (18+). We don’t knowingly collect children’s data.
